A quick message should not have to go through the facilitator. Members can open chat directly from the app’s navigation or start a conversation from a member profile, on web and in the app.

New messages get noticed
New chat messages arrive as a notification in the app and as a push notification on the phone. Unread messages are marked next to chat in the menu, so members can see where there is something new.

Chat is close at hand
Open chat directly from the app’s navigation bar and find conversations already in progress. The member directory is another way in when you want to start a conversation with a particular person.

The member directory shows members' expertise and contact options, so the conversation can start in the right place.
Questions about chat
No. Chat is for text messages. Share files and images in a post to the community or a group, so they are also in the file archive.
Chat is for people with a profile in your community on Samli. Guests who are only invited to a meeting have no profile and receive the invitation by email.
No. New chat messages are shown in the app and as push notifications on the phone. Each member can turn them off in their notification settings.
